A parking shade is a combination of parking geometry, coverage, steel structure, fabric or membrane, foundations, connections, protective finish and installation conditions. A strong proposal should bring these items together as one coordinated system.
The site decides more than the catalogue.
Before choosing a design, understand how vehicles move, where columns can stand, what must remain accessible and how much area needs coverage.
Parking Layout
Number of bays, orientation, circulation and entry/exit movement.
Available Space
Column positions, setbacks, kerbs, walls and surrounding structures.
Site Conditions
Existing pavement, underground services and foundation constraints.
Required Coverage
Vehicle protection, overhang and the intended shaded footprint.
Choose geometry that works with the parking.
The best design is the one that balances parking function, coverage, structural requirements and architectural appearance.
Single Cantilever
Useful where support is preferred from one side of the parking bay.
Double Cantilever
Suitable for paired parking rows where a central support arrangement works.
Arch / Curved
A different visual language where project architecture calls for it.
Sail / Tensile
Used where expressive membrane geometry and wider visual coverage are desired.
“Standard size” is a reference — your site is the final answer.
A commonly referenced parking module is approximately 6 × 3 m for one vehicle, but actual project dimensions should follow the parking layout, required coverage, column arrangement and approved project information.
Select material by application and verified specification.
Material names alone are not enough. Review the actual datasheet, coating system, intended application, relevant performance data and warranty offered for the project.

Columns, arms, plates, brackets, stiffeners, connections and anchors work together. Section sizes should come from the project design rather than from appearance or a generic catalogue image.

Where specified, galvanizing provides a different protection route before any additional finish.
Colour Selection
Final colour should coordinate with the project architecture and approved colour reference.
Two prices are not comparable until the scope is comparable.
Use a scope matrix before deciding which quotation is genuinely better value.
The project is not finished when fabrication is finished.
Site readiness, foundations, material handling, erection, alignment, fabric installation, tensioning, final checks and handover all influence the completed result.
Read the warranty before you need the warranty.
Ask for written warranty terms and understand which components are covered, the duration, exclusions and any maintenance expectations.

For how long?
Different components may have different warranty periods.
What are the exclusions?
Understand conditions that may sit outside the warranty.
How will it be maintained?
Inspection, cleaning and timely repair support long-term condition.
Before issuing the PO, confirm these points.
A simple final review can prevent scope gaps and misunderstandings later in the project.
